A Love Story Built on Speed

As we celebrate our anniversary this month, we couldn't be more excited to share our love story with the world. Ours is a tale that began on the fast and thrilling racetrack of Thunder-hill Raceway, blossomed over a summer filled with friendship, and reached its zenith on the picturesque turns of Sears Point Raceway. Our love story is intimately entwined with the Corvette lifestyle, a shared passion that has led us on countless adventures and even inspired us to build a business dedicated to all things Corvette. So, join us on this journey as we recount the moments that brought us together and strengthened our bond through the world of Corvettes.

Chapter 1: The Spark of Thunder-hill

It all started one spring day at the SCCA race at Thunder-hill Raceway. The scent of burning rubber and the roar of powerful engines filled the air as we both found ourselves drawn to the racetrack. Little did we know that this fateful event would set the stage for our love story. With a shared enthusiasm for racing, we couldn't help but strike up a conversation. Our initial connection was like the revving of an engine, a gentle hum of attraction that was impossible to ignore.

Chapter 2: Summer of Friendship

Over the summer that followed, we transitioned from racetrack acquaintances to close friends. We spent hours talking about cars, racing, and our dreams. Our friendship grew stronger with each passing day, and we discovered that we shared not only a love for Corvettes but also a deep appreciation for life's adventures. As we explored the world together, it became evident that our connection was something special.

Chapter 3: Love in the Fast Lane

The climax of our love story occurred at the SCCA run-offs at Sears Point Raceway. It was the final race of the year, and the excitement in the air was palpable. As we stood at Turn 8, overlooking the track with its winding curves, Phillip finally made his move. In a moment that felt like it was straight out of a romantic movie, he leaned in and kissed me. The adrenaline rush of the race mixed with the sweetness of that kiss made it a moment neither of us would ever forget.

Chapter 4: A Corvette Love Affair

Since that unforgettable day at Sears Point, our love for each other and for Corvettes has continued to grow. We've traveled hundreds of miles, coast to coast, exploring the Corvette lifestyle together. From attending racing events to visiting concours and museums, our passion for Corvettes has taken us on countless adventures. What makes these experiences truly special is the people we've met along the way – fellow Corvette enthusiasts who share our love for these iconic cars.

Chapter 5: Building a Corvette Legacy

Our love story doesn't stop at sharing moments; it extends to building a business together. With the help of partners like Amsoil and Amazon, we've dedicated ourselves to sharing everything we can about the Corvette lifestyle. We've created a platform to connect with fellow Corvette enthusiasts, providing valuable insights, reviews, and tips on all things Corvette-related. Our journey has been about more than just our love; it's about sharing that love with the world.

Our love story, which began with a chance meeting at a racetrack, has evolved into a beautiful partnership that revolves around our shared passion for Corvettes. As we celebrate this anniversary, we can't help but reflect on how our lives have been enriched by our love for each other and the Corvette lifestyle. Through the twists and turns of life, we've found happiness in the fast lane, and our journey continues to be fueled by the love we have for each other and for Corvettes. It all started “Because Racecar”, but it has become so much more than that – it's a love story built on speed, adventure, and the pursuit of dreams.

This is Rex M. I've still got the DVD taken from the factory (General Tire & Rubber / Fiberglass Division) in Marion, Indiana, making Corvette body panels. Need an address to send it.
